Get to Know Dr. Christopher Gorospe
One of seven kids, Dr. Gorospe’s mentor was his uncle, who operates a dental practice in Jacksonville, FL. As a young man, he saw the difference that relationship-based dentistry made in the lives of his uncle’s patients.
That’s what motivated Dr. Gorospe to pursue dentistry. He attended The Citadel military college for his undergraduate degree and then obtained his M.S. in medical science and his DMD from the Medical University of South Carolina. After graduating, Dr. Gorospe opened Red Rose Dentistry.
As the owner of his own practice, Dr. Gorospe has the opportunity to provide exceptional care to members of his local community. Working with his hands, helping people get out of pain, and building real relationships is what drives Dr. Gorospe’s passion for dentistry. It’s also what motivates the team at Red Rose Dentistry to provide truly personalized care for every patient.
When he’s not working at our office, Dr. Gorospe loves spending time with his new baby girl and his wife, Katie. When he’s not busy with the responsibilities of being a new father, you’ll also find Dr. Gorospe golfing, playing soccer in the Rock Hill, SC Adult League, and visiting local restaurants throughout the Lancaster area.

Since opening the practice over 30 years ago, Dr. Andrew Walker cultivated a reputation in the community for providing high-quality care and treating patients like family. When Dr. Walker retired, he entrusted Dr. Gorospe with continuing this legacy of trusted care, something that Dr. Gorospe does not take lightly. He's committed to maintaining the welcoming environment and high standard of care our community has come to expect from his practice, both now and into the future.

Our team is at the heart of the patient experience at Red Rose Dentistry. From the moment you enter our office, we want to make you feel comfortable, safe, and welcome. Read on and learn a bit more about the smiling faces that you’ll see during your visit.
What to expect
Your First Visit
At your first visit, Dr. Gorospe and our team will take x-rays of your smile and perform an oral exam. This allows us to get a better idea of your overall oral health. X-rays and oral exams also let us check for common oral health issues like cavities or gum disease. Then, we’ll clean and polish your teeth to ensure your smile looks its best.
If your mouth is healthy and we don’t notice any issues, you’ll schedule your next six-month checkup before you leave. But if Dr. Gorospe notices any areas of concern, he’ll discuss them with you and help you schedule the treatments you need to restore your oral health.
What to Bring
If you have dental insurance, you’ll need to bring in your insurance card. You will also need to bring a credit or debit card in case any co-pays or down payments are needed for your care. If you’ve filled out any of your forms online and printed them out, you can also bring these with you. If not, that’s fine, too! We can provide you with all necessary forms once you arrive for your visit.
